The Push I Needed!

I love my FAMILY (yes, I have to make that bold), because they are so supportive, but it's actually one person who encouraged me to keep PUSHING to make my blog a success. You see I have a desire to write, and I look at other people's work and get inspired and then I am ready to start writing on my blog, but then something happens the Lazyness kicks in and *BAM* months go by and I have not written a single thing.

Well, yesterday after me and my cousin finished doing the "INSANITY" work-out, we started talking, and it got real. You know those talks when you talk about what you want to do in life and what you really desire to do as far as a career, yea one of those talks.

Well, she said something to me that made me think, I realized I had alot of excuses of why I wasn't writing and when I actually started sharing the excuses with her they really didn't make sense to me either. One reason was because I couldn't find a web-designer to create a site for me that was gonna be just so out of this world Her response:

"Why are you waiting for someone else, just go take classes and do it yourself", Me "but I don't have time", Her "That's one thing about me, I am gonna make time for things that I really want to do, and if you really want to do this you would make time for it" then, she said "Stop saying all these things that you want to do but not doing anything to get it done", and those words have been ringing all night and morning in my head.

Now, the bible does state in Proverbs 6:6 - "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!", now, when you think of an ant in no way, shape, or form is it lazy matter of fact it carries objects twice it's body weight (not a known fact, but I do know it carries more than it weighs) but besides that ants are always moving, never have I known an ant to sleep (unless someone steps on him LOL) but I LOVE HOW THE MESSAGE BIBLE PUTS PROVERB 6:6-11

A Lesson from the Ant
6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
All summer it stores up food;
at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
poverty your permanent houseguest!

WOW, I love it, if you don't work proverty will be a permanent houseguest. Not on my watch it won't, and now with that being said, the bible clearly tells us to work and not be lazy, and when you have GOD on your side you will have Sweatless Victories, but we have to do our part.

We have to get up get our priority and motives in right standings, and work and not let the spirit of procrastination set in, that is why people have a lot of regret in their lives, because they let procrastination set in, then they want to blame everyone else for their failure. I could have continued down that road and said "Well, since I can't find no one to design my site, then I can't write or do whatever else I wanted to do." but, No instead I am taking my cousin's advice and I am going to make things happen. I have God and he won't let me fail, it's not even in my DNA to fail (because I am made in his image and likeness), So why do I allow Lazyness and Procrastination to defeat me when my Bible tells me that I am to have Sweatless Victories.

So now my Vision is back on the Prize and I'm running full speed ahead! that's exactly why FAITHISBEAUTY.

****UPDATE**** On my Weight Loss Journey

Okay, Okay,Okay so awesome news!!!

I have officially lost 4 pounds in two weeks, and that's good 2 pounds a week is healthy.

Stats Check em' out:

Starting Weight: 171

Current Weight: 167

Okay, what am I doing you asked, Eating 5 times a day, but like they say small portions ( Yes, I have had some weak moments, but as much as I wanted too I did not give in), and I work out once if not twice a day, some of ya may not have that kind of time, but my job has a gym in the building so I go at lunch time, then after work before I get my evening started.

I don't eat after 8pm, and I chose 8pm because I usually don't get in the bed until about 11pm/midnight. Then when it comes to eating my cousin is like the health GURU of the Family, so I go to her for different recipes and she always come thru for me.

She has introduced me to Spaghetti squash which is where instead of using pasta for the noodles, we use this squash that is actually called "Spaghetti Squash" it strings up like noodles and use those for the noodles instead, You boil it for about 30 to 45 mins, then cut it open and scrap the insides out. Cook the meat as you would normally do and add whatever you add to make your spaghetti, I use lean Turkey meat, and turkey eckridge sausage and what ever kind of sauce I'm in the mood for at the moment.

Now you may frown your face up, but please try it and I promise you won't be disappointed.

She also introduced me to buttermilk squash Mac-n-cheese, sounds nasty well, NOPE it's not it's actually good, I never thought that I would be eating any of these things, so when they say it's a life style change yes, it's a lifestyle change, I find myself shopping for more and more things that I have never heard of before, and trying new things, that are sooooo delicious.

She also introduced me to curry which is nothing new but it's an alternative way that she makes it that is soooo healthy and did I add delicious, well I don't have the recipe yet, but as soon as I do I will be sure to share it with you.

Any who, so I have been going strong for 2 weeks now, and I'm very excited at the end of every month I will be putting update pictures up, so you can see my progress as well and read about it.

I hope that I inspire and encourage you to want to loose weight and want to be healthy and a better you in the process of my Journey, I will make sure I try my best to give you step by step details on my journey.

I am be also giving great work out tips, and recipes, and ect. remember I am not a nutritionist nor and personal trainer, all the things that I share will come from extensive research, questions asked and experience.

Love ya most,

Many, Many, Many Years ~ Random

LOL, okay, have you ever wondered what kept people living for so long back in the bible days besides GOD.

I mean Adam lived until he was 930 years of age. These days its a blessing to see 60.

As I was reading my book "A call for Character: Manifestation of the Sons of GOD" which by the way is an excellent book. I ran across a paragraph that was talking about having that Enoch type of relationship with GOD, but that is a whole different blog subject.

Anyways, so I turned to Genesis 5, and began reading, and it came to me that these people were truly living! LOL. Like can you imagine living unto you are 300 years of age. What would that be like. I can only half-way imagine.

They were even having children at the ages that would only now through the natural rim seem impossible. Today when you think about having a baby in your 30's or even early 40's they talk about high risk, but in Genesis 5:3-5 Adam was 130 when he had Seth, and in Genesis 5:6-8 Seth was 105, Wowwww that goes to show what kind of GOD we serve. If it's your destiny to be here no matter the situation or circumstances God will make it happen.

Just a random thought lol, but think about it 930 years of age. Do you think that you would be able to keep up with all the technology and changes that would be happening. Think about how u might even look lolol...

Faith without works is dead!!!

"FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD"

As I was searching for a particular scripture I came across Proverbs 14:23 "All hard work brings a profit, BUT mere talk only leads to poverty"

And it got me thinking "mere talk only leads to poverty" I'm thinking WOW I have talked myself out of blessings, simply because I procrastinate. Simply put I can't get mad if I say "Okay, I want this, I want that" and I don't receive it, because though it sounds good, I'm not putting any actions with what I want to achieve. Which Brings me back to "FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD."

People that are successful always tell you it wasn't easy, it took hard work and sacrifice, and though the scripture doesn't state sacrifice it does state HARD work not mediocre or slack, or half step, NO it states HARD work brings profit. Meaning keep going don't stop don't work out of your feelings.

Don't just say your dreams and goals, write them down, because once they are written down they are more likely to come to pass, because now you have the drive cause you can See It!!!

God didn't just say all the wonderful promises he has for us he gave man inspiration to write them on scrolls which today we call the "HOLY BIBLE"

I believe that was one of my mistakes, not writing my goals, and dreams down because I began to forget the steps and the minor details that I had thought about that I thought were key, but because I didn't write it down. I was lost and didn't have the motivation to rethink all those great ideas that I had first thought of, so write it all down the first time.

Just remember anything that comes easy is not worth it, because you won't appreciate it as much, but when you put you all blood, sweat, tears into something you are more passionate about it because u actually poured yourself into it.

So STOP being so busy that you keep putting your dreams on hold and get up and began to write your visions, dreams, and goals and work HARD for them and watch they come to pass.

FEBRUARY 1, 2010: 1st 30 Days of the NEW YEAR OVER!!!

Hey FaithisBeauty Fam,

Okay, so we made it through the first 30 days of the NEW Year!!! How was it? Are you still keeping up with those New Years Resolutions? LOL

Well for me I was doing great, we always start off the first week doing Great...Then week 2 we down grade to we are doing good, then week 3 we just doing aight, then by the last week in the month we are already ready to give up and start over next month.

Well, I didn't do bad I'm just stuck at the I'm doing GOOD phase, when I want to consistently be at the I'm doing GREAT Phase.

So, I'm challenging you to pick up your goal and resolutions again and be better than what you were last month, be greater, be more pro-active, be more diligent, JUST BE MORE!!!!!

I'm enjoying how slow paced this Year is going. It seems like it's more time in the day to accomplish what I need to accomplish.

One of the 101 goals I made was that I was going to build my Vocabulary Up!!! I think that we should always challenge ourselves and think above what we think on an average basis.

I know when I am listening to TD Jakes, he forces me to step my Vocab up LLJ ( laughin Like Jesus) because he uses words I have never heard of before, but I write them down go back and look them up. I love it because now when I hear the word I know what it means and I too can use it in a sentence.

I'm back in school this semester!!!!! YAYYYY!!! so excited about that, and I'm interning with Celebre' Fashions....and taking free HOW to Study the Bible classes at Evangel Cathedral....It is awesome.... I love being busy, but I'm never to busy where I don't stop and take time for My daddy and Big Brother (GOD, and Jesus). Like I stated before challenging myself, Staying pro-active. Doing something different, so Im hoping that you will join me on my journey and I look forward to hearing about yours!!

So in closing, Step out and do something you never dared to do (as long as it's nothing that will degrade you as a Women or Man), but challenge yourself this month, Volunteer somewhere, Give more to charities than you would want too. Just do something different than what you did last month, and do something different for the better.

Love,
